Summer is over. After some well deserved\u00a0holiday\u00a0it is time to get back to the office. Hopefully re-energized and extra motivated. To get you in the right mood we have dedicated our latest issue of the Distinctly Different Journal to personal style in (and around) the office. Our customers get a free journal with every order! Some of you might think: personal style? I just get back into my boring blue or grey suit and that\u2019s that. Wrong! A good grey or blue suit is a perfect base, of course, but always make sure to give it your own personal touch. Because the way we dress has more influence than you might think. Whether you like it or not, your clothing communicates. And so, it can have a serious impact on your ability to achieve success. Research shows that your appearance influences people\u2019s perception of your authority, trustworthiness, intelligence, financial success and suitability for hire or promotion.<\/p>\n

Obviously\u00a0there are the basic rules: wear clean clothes. Follow the\u00a0dresscode\u00a0(it\u2019s almost always better to be overdressed than underdressed). Make sure your clothes are not wrinkled. Pay attention to the suit (make sure it fits you perfectly), but don\u2019t forget about shoes and accessories \u2013 they are just as important. Wearing a perfect suit with the wrong\u00a0tie\u00a0or with unkempt shoes will destroy the outfit as a whole.<\/p>\n
